ITA Airways is renewing its digital offering with a new website and a new mobile app, available for download or update by all customers. Both digital channels have been developed on Lufthansa Group’s technology platform for flight and service management, offering an intuitive and efficient digital experience with faster and easier access to travel information and services.
The new digital ecosystem ensures a harmonized experience for passengers across Lufthansa Group airlines, while preserving ITA Airways’ brand identity, its distinctive elements, and its overall look and feel.
The new solutions support customers throughout every stage of their journey: from flight search and booking to payment, as well as the management of additional services, travel information, and refund requests. Passengers can also easily view existing ITA Airways bookings and manage them directly via the app or website. Overall, both channels offer a wide range of functionalities and enable customers to combine ITA Airways flights with those of other Lufthansa Group airlines within a single booking.
Thanks to the migration to the Lufthansa Group platform, ITA Airways can benefit from state-of-the-art digital solutions, which were recognized with the “Best Airline App” award at an international level in 2024.
“The introduction of ITA Airways’ new digital services, developed on the Lufthansa Group’s technology platform, represents a key milestone in the Company’s integration into the Group,” said Lorenza Maggio, Chief Strategy, Integration, IT & Touchpoints at ITA Airways. “This development is part of the broader collaboration between ITA Airways and the Lufthansa Group, which in 2025 already led to the introduction of codeshare flights with access to over 150 destinations, the partnership between the Volare and Miles & More loyalty programs, and reciprocal access to airport lounges. Our goal is to offer customers an increasingly simple, intuitive and integrated digital experience, while ensuring a harmonized customer journey across Group airlines and enhancing the ITA Airways brand identity.”
In the coming months, the digital offering will be further expanded: in addition to access via Travel ID new services will be progressively introduced across the app and website, including the integration of Miles & More, automatic notifications via email and push, and a harmonized check-in system for all Lufthansa Group airlines.
With these developments, ITA Airways continues its integration into the Lufthansa Group, placing technology at the core of its strategy to deliver an increasingly simple, personalized, and efficient travel experience.
