The bike season in the world’s most beautiful republic is in full swing – and the next big highlight is just around the corner: From 12-14 September 2025, Sölden will once again host one of the most spectacular events in the mountain bike scene: at the Bike Republic Sölden (BRS) Festival X Swatch Nines, the world’s best slopestyle and freeride athletes return to the flowy alpine nation to once again redefine the limits of what’s possible on two wheels. Of course, there’s also a packed schedule of side events, a bustling brand and event area, ride-outs with top athletes, and next-level parties.
The Bike Republic Sölden has rightly earned its place among the leading mountain bike destinations in Europe and beyond. That’s thanks to a unique mix: trails for every skill level, breathtaking alpine views, and a vibrant, deeply rooted mountain bike culture that stretches from summit to valley. And if there’s one thing Sölden knows besides riding – it’s how to celebrate. That’s why, right after the massive 10th birthday bash, we’re rolling straight into the BRS Festival X Swatch Nines.
Recap: 10 Years of Bike Republic Sölden
Yep, you read that right – the Bike Republic Sölden is already turning 10. What started as a vision in 2015 is now a strong community with its own values, trails, and legends. Sölden is more than “just a bike park” – and everyone who’s been here knows it. To celebrate a full decade, the creators shared their story in a special anniversary video: Birth Of A Republic: 10 Years of Bike Republic Sölden.
Public Days at BRS Festival X Swatch Nines
Just two years ago, Swatch Nines events were off-limits to the general public – where the world’s best slopestyle and freeride athletes quietly broke records on creative courses. Now, integrated into the BRS Festival, the spectacle is open to everyone for the second time. In the “Dirt District” in Grünwald, spectators can witness up close as the boundaries of mountain biking are pushed to new heights on Friday and Saturday.
The weekend kicks off with the Swatch Nines Night Shoot on Friday (12 September), where athletes will launch skyward on an illuminated course, setting the tone for a night to remember. Things start at 7:00 PM, with food & drinks available at the Panorama Alm as well as after-vibes with a live DJ and party atmosphere right on-site. On Saturday (13 September), the Public Day begins at 1:00 PM – expect another round of jaw-dropping action and maybe even a few world’s firsts. Only in Sölden: ride your own laps in the Bike Republic and then watch the global elite throw down spectacular runs. A dedicated shuttle service will bring you from Sölden to Grünwald on both days.
On the massive “Dirt District” site, there’s both a Slopestyle Line and a Freeride Line. The Slopestyle Line, normally open to everyone, shines with a variety of creative features. The Freeride Line is built for speed, flow, and airtime – expect massive jumps up to 20 meters (60 feet), spectacular tricks, and pure style. Full course details, including a 3D preview, will drop right before the event.
Among the world-class riders are big names like Erik Fedko, Patricia Druwen, David Godziek, Nicolai Rogatkin, and Robin Goomes, to name just a few – check the full Swatch Nines rider list here.
Tickets and updates for the BRS Festival can be found here.

Even more Festival Vibes
And there’s more: the BRS Festival packs in music acts, food stalls, an expo & test area, plus tons of side events like the Bunny Höööp Contest, Bike Limbo, and Bike Obstacle Duel. If cheering is more your style, you won’t want to miss three Guinness World Record attempts by local Austrian rider Mario Neurauter: dropping from over four meters high, he’s going for the Highest Flat Drop, Highest Flat Drop onto a Target, and Highest Flat Drop 360 onto a Target.
Want to up your skills? Daily (E-)MTB technique courses run from 10:00–12:00, plus additional sessions Friday and Sunday from 1:00–3:00 PM (sign up on-site). Young riders are covered too, with a full kids’ program.
And because “ride hard, party hard,” Saturday night’s legendary Riders Party is the festival’s party highlight – kicking off at 6:00 PM at the Giggijoch base station, with live acts and DJs.
